Hey everyone!
I suppose this is more of a personal post than the other ones I have written thus far.
I have had an exceptionally busy month of April. In addition to working forty hours a week, I try to maintain a rich social life, which includes spending adequate time (adequate both in quality and quantity) with my girlfriend. What free time I have left, I try to spread as evenly as possible between my hobbies (e.g., blogging/podcasting, and pretty soon biking and tennis!); other pursuits, like getting various certifications to give me more options in terms of employment; and of course, watching various media that I find inspiring and thought-provoking (Attack on Titan), mind-bending (I’ll be seeing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness exactly ninety minutes from the time this post is published), or simply entertaining (anyone else currently watching the sixth season of Better Call Saul?).
I’m hoping to kick off various categories on my blog over the summer, and hopefully I will be able to write enough to fill those categories significantly. I recently bought the DVD collection for The Twilight Zone (1959), I’ll see if I can write a little something something for some episodes…

I also want to begin working on Project Euler, which I picked up a couple of times over the years. In essence, they are mathematical problems that are meant to be solved using computer programming. I’ve always been quite interested in both mathematics and programming, so this seems like it could be a fun project to explore, especially on my blog! What I’ll probably end up doing is solve most or all of the problems, but only write about a few… we’ll see!
Finally, I’d like to begin writing about slightly more esoteric topics. Funnily enough, I got tremendously inspired earlier this week at 6:30 AM about a post I want to write soon… it may not be up everyone’s alley, but that’s all right! I’d like to have enough diversity on my blog such that most people can find something that they are interested in.
Finally, for my podcast, I did not expect how much work was actually required for it, particularly post-production (which may also explain why I’ve been creating less content recently). For my episode with Karina Alce (which you can read about and find links to listen to here), I had to listen to the raw audio file twice to do some audio equalizing and to remove various mouth noises; I had to write down timestamps for the episode itself; I had to provide links for each platform that hosted the episode when they were made available… and the truth is I’m still not quite finished! I want to upload the episodes on YouTube, and I also want my listeners to be able to listen to this episode (and future ones) directly on my website. I think that, just like my blog, it will take a bit of time at first for my podcasting platform to be well-established, but once that’s done, all I really need to do is record the episodes, do some post-production, then upload them everywhere. I’m hoping to get a good flow over the summer once that’s all set up!
Anyway, that’s all for now! I’m hoping to line up some more guests to interview over the summer. If you have any feedback or suggestions as to people I should interview, please let me know in the comments! I’ll also setup an “About me” section soon with my contact information in case you want to email me directly.
Until next time!
Jo
